This roast was given the name Carnival to pay homage to the vibrant celebrations held annually in the Virgin Islands. The roast is bold, strong, and smooth, just like the people of the Virgin Islands. 

 

**Brewing Suggestions**

☕ General Guidelines (Works for All Methods)

  • Grind fresh right before brewing for best flavor
  • Use filtered water (clean taste matters)
  • Ideal water temperature: 195–205°F (90–96°C)
  • Standard ratio: 1:15 to 1:17 (1g coffee per 15–17g water)
  • Medium-dark roasts extract faster—avoid overbrewing

🫖 Drip Coffee Maker 

  • Ratio: 1:16
  • Tip: Use a paper filter for a smooth, clean cup
  • Result: Balanced flavor with caramel and chocolate notes

☕ Pour Over (V60, Chemex)

  • Ratio: 1:15–1:17
  • Bloom: 30 seconds before continuing the pour
  • Brew time: 2.5–3 minutes
  • Tip: Pour slowly in circular motions
  • Result: Clean, smooth cup with balanced sweetness

🫙 French Press

  • Ratio: 1:15
  • Brew time: 3–3.5 minutes
  • Tip: Press slowly and pour immediately
  • Result: Rich body with a fuller texture

⚡ Espresso Machine

  • Ratio: 1:2
  • Brew time: 20–25 seconds
  • Tip: Tamp firmly and use a double shot basket
  • Result: Smooth, bold shot with subtle chocolatey notes

❄️ Cold Brew
